We live in a society that is governed by laws. Laws present options - incorporating a business or operating as a sole proprietorship, having an estate plan or letting things happen by default, or even choosing how you want to be taxed. Did you know that some simple choices with corresponding action could mean the difference between paying tens or even hundreds of thousands of dollars in taxes or legally avoiding certain taxes altogether? It all comes down to knowing and applying the rules!
What goals do you want to achieve? Whether you want to start and run a business, pay less in taxes, or create an estate plan that leaves a legacy, we're here to help you understand the rules. We use applied knowledge of the rules to create an optimized plan for success. Once you have a rules-based strategy in hand, it's time to play the game ... to win!!

Not filing a tax return can result in penalties, interest, and even criminal prosecution in some cases. The penalties can be significant, and can include both fines and imprisonment. Additionally, failure to file a tax return can result in the loss of certain tax credits and deductions, which can further increase a taxpayer's tax liability.
An offer in compromise is a program offered by the IRS that allows taxpayers to settle their tax debt for less than the full amount owed. To qualify, taxpayers must demonstrate that they are unable to pay their full tax liability and that accepting the offer would be in the best interests of both the taxpayer and the government.
Innocent spouse relief is a program offered by the IRS that allows certain taxpayers to be relieved of liability for taxes owed if their spouse or former spouse improperly reported items or omitted items on their tax return. To qualify, taxpayers must meet certain criteria, including demonstrating that they were unaware of their spouse's actions and that it would be unfair to hold them liable for the resulting tax debt.
